The Glowing Dial episode POD47 delays UPDATE

Hello listeners, so very sorry that episode POD47 still hasn't premiered. Should have been up Nov. 27. As mentioned before, I have been ill for at least 3 weeks. Several health problems that I really shouldn't go into here but they all hit more or less at once and have been very debilitating. Starting to come back to the land of the living and hope to have the show edited and posted sometime tomorrow (hopefully). I'll do my level best to make this happen and at least the show can air for 1 of its intended 3 weeks. It will always be in the Archives if you miss it on the remainder of its first run.

I am surprised that I got the Live show done on Nov. 27, that's was kind of in the middle of all this health fiasco. I hope to do another Live show this Sunday from 4 to 7pm Eastern time. I am not a praying man but I do ask you to send some positive healing energy my way. Who knows, maybe it will help.

Hello my devoted fans:

Just wanted to invite you all to listen to our first Glowing Dial LIVE Halloween show this Sunday, October 30th from 4pm to approx. 11:30 pm EST. The longer running time is so that, after the LIVE portion, we can present our 2003 War Of The Worlds Tribute show.

 

The Tribute will include the Mercury Theatre original (timed to hit at 8pm EST as it did 78 years ago), some interviews with Orson Welles and company, the excellent WKBW, Buffalo remake plus our own tongues-planted-firmly-in-cheek version of the classic radio play.

The LIVE portion of the show will feature myself and my co-hosts Stu and Greg (and even a few friends thrown in for good measure).

We'll be playing some spooky old time radio shows, reading a few spooky poems and sharing some of our spooky but real stories.

We're still on track for the October 16th premiere of The Glowing Dial LIVE! We hope all of you will be there listening! It will mean a lot to me if you are, this being the first show and all. We might have an event happening too, all 3 of my co-hosts there at once! Here's hoping.

The show starts at 4pm Eastern and goes to 7pm Eastern. We have some fun stuff planned and that includes YOU! Yes, we want you to call in to the Live show! Find us and make us one of your regular contacts! Remember NOT to call until I ask for calls as we may have an interview going on beforehand.

We plan to talk to our own Jerry Haendiges. I'm also going to try to get Martin Grams, Jr. prolific author of many books on old time radio! I'll even be playing all our old Celebrity Interviews from the late 90s from time to time!

An update on the posting of shows on YouTube and other stuff

Hello listeners!

As I have mentioned before, I have been working on uploading all our episodes to YouTube. So far, I have all the "POD" shows and all the "NET" shows up on YouTube. Will start uploading all the old Yesterday USA shows very soon.

We have also been approved on Google Play Music, which has just recently started accepting podcasts! Google Play Music works just like iTunes or any podcatcher program. When you subscribe, each new episode I post will automatically download to your device of choice.

The links for YouTube and Google Play Music are on our show list page at http://www.glowingdial.com/shows.html.

For some odd reason, when I click on the Google Play Music link, I have to click my back arrow once to actually get to our show page there. Your experience might not be the same. Let me know if you have problems. Right now, I don't know how to fix this. It'll still get you there, it's just a bit of a pain in the arse.

I also have been working on our show list page and correcting a lot of information that was either wrong or missing at the time. That link is http://www.glowingdial.com/archived_shows_list.html. 

This is just a list, there are no active download links there, the page is just for information on our shows.
