Update on The Glowing Dial LIVE and a Webcam event tomorrow 8/7/17

Hello Listeners!
Another update here for you. The LIVE Show is definitely returning! We'll be back starting in September! The show will, as usual, be from 4pm to 7pm EST and on every 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. See the current schedule below.

Sunday, September 10, 2017 4pm top 7pm EST
Sunday, September 24, 2017 4pm to 7pm EST
Sunday, October 8, 2017 4pm to 7pm EST
Sunday, October 22, 2017 4pm to 7pm EST
Sunday, November 12, 2017 4pm to 7pm EST
Sunday November 26, 2017 4pm to 7pm EST
Sunday, December 10, 2017 4pm to 7pm EST
Sunday, December 24, 2017 4pm to 7pm EST

Due to the LIVE nature of the show, we won't be announcing in advance what OTR programs we will be playing but will announce whether or not it is a theme or holiday show.

In each episode, we will be featuring a contest in the form of a trivia question. Be the first to give us the correct answer via our chatroom, Skype or Phone and you will win a USB Flash Drive with some OTR on it!

You can hear the LIVE show by using the embedded player on our LIVE Show page, http://www.glowingdial.com/live-show.html or you can go to our Mixlr show page at http://www.mixlr.com/glowingdial

If you go to our Mixlr show page, you'll be able to enter our chatroom and have some verbal fun with us. All it takes to participate in the chatroom is a free sign-up at Mixlr.com.

You can also interact with us in two other ways during a LIVE show: Via phone by calling 248-221-2011 (during show times only) or Via Skype by searching for The Glowing Dial LIVE and adding it to your contact list.

You can even use the aforementioned contact methods to Instant Request a show. If we have it on hand in our Archives, you'll hear it almost instantly!

We also plan to offer a webcam feed that will be active during the LIVE shows via YouTube. The link for that is https://www.youtube.com/user/deejaybrick/live so those of you with strong stomachs can see what these silly hosts actually look like. We will even have the webcam up and streaming on certain Mondays when Steve and I are cutting new shows! Details on this at our Shows page and below.

With that being said, we'd love for you to join us as we stream LIVE tomorrow, Monday, August 7, 2017 starting at 10am EST. Steve and I and maybe a guest or two will be recording new episodes of The Glowing Dial. This particular LIVE cast will not be terribly structured but will allow you to see us "behind the scenes" as we record our tri-weekly podcast. There will be some moments where you will not hear sound. This is because you will only hear what passes through our mixer so don't worry that you've lost sound, the sound will return as soon as we pot our mixer up.

This problem won't exist with our actual LIVE shows as our mixer will always be up so no loss of sound will occur.

The archived LIVE shows will continue to be available at our Mixlr show page as well as our archives page at glowingdial.com. You'll even be able to watch our Webcam version of the LIVE show after the fact as we will be archiving these at our archive page at glowingdial.com as well as at YouTube. Make sure you subscribe to my channel there while you're watching.

See you on the radio ... literally!

The Glowing Dial LIVE will be returning to the air!!!

Hello Listeners!

Just a note to say that I'm planning on bringing The Glowing Dial LIVE back! I'm now planning on September and I think it will be as before, the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 4-7pm EST.

Trying to line up my co-hosts now. Hope they all can participate, at least on a rotating basis. No point in doing the show alone.

We'll once again have the ability for you, the listener to phone in and Skype in to chat with us and instant request a show. I'm really hoping that, by keeping the show going, we'll eventually pick up a larger audience than the handful we had before and I mean a literal handful.

Hopefully that handful will all come back and bring friends along too. I'd really like to see the LIVE show grow.

Check here and at The Glowing Dial Page, http://www.glowingdial.com for details and show times when I announce them shortly.

The Glowing Dial Page is back on the net!

Hello listeners!

Good news! I have finally been able to get in touch with my web guy and all is fixed now and The Glowing Dial Page is back up in it's entirety! I have gotten behind in editing and posting of shows due to some health and personal issues, not to mention current computer issues. But I am continuing forward and attempting to get The Glowing Dial Show POD56 edited and premiered, hopefully later today. Trying to get this done on a temperamental computer too! POD56 will only run until June 24 but don't worry, it will always be available in the Archives if you miss it this time around. Look for a post later today announcing the premiere of POD56.

See you on the radio!

The Glowing Dial Page Update

Glowing Dial Page Update

Hello folks!
Just a note to say that I've made a few changes to The Glowing Dial Page at http://www.glowingdial.com .

First, as previously announced, I have deleted The Glowing Dial Discussion List and have removed the link from the page's main menu at the left of the page. The reason once again for this deletion was that it wasn't really active and the information posted there by me was simply a duplication of what's already available on The Glowing Dial Archives Blog.

Secondly, I have added download links to all the previous episodes of the show which are listed at http://www.glowingdial.com/archived_shows_list.html . This page is also known now as The Glowing Dial Archives and it is here that you can now download every past episode of the show.

Alternately, you can do this through your podcatcher program if you subscribe to the podcast that way. Just click on "feed" in your podcatcher program and a download link should be available for all past episodes as well as the episode currently running.

Once again, sorry about the current loss of The Glowing Dial LIVE. As mentioned on the page, my financial condition is dire indeed and I cannot afford the $20 a month that doing the Live show costs me. If someone were to donate that $20 on a regular basis, we would be able to continue with the Live show. To date, no one has volunteered that unfortunately. If someone is interested, I would have to have a firm commitment from them that the $20 monthly donation would continue. Please e-mail me at glowingdial@wowway.com if you are interested in making this happen.

Thanks and I'll see you on the radio!
